7 Tips To Start Your Day More Focused And Organised
Unfortunately, I am not a morning person. Of course, as I get older, it becomes easier for me to get up early than it was when I was a university student. However, unfortunately, my eyes don’t pop open at 6 a.m., even though I would really like them to. But a good morning routine can make life much easier. A focused and organised morning is essential for a productive and successful day. Starting with clarity helps set priorities, boosts efficiency, and reduces stress. By dedicating the early hours to purposeful activities like planning, self-care, and goal-setting, you create momentum that carries through. A structured start ensures you stay in control, making the rest of the day more intentional and rewarding. Focus is the foundation of progress! Read on, and I hope I can help.
Make Your Bed!
Making the bed in the morning is a few minutes of activity that pays off very easily. If your bedroom isn’t in its tidiest state, but your bed is neatly made up, the overall effect is much tidier. Trust me, once you get used to it and it becomes routine, it’s no longer a hassle and you’ll love your organised bedroom.

Eat Breakfest!
This is another challenge for me, because I always start with coffee and only then have breakfast with my daughter, but I try not to skip it. Eating breakfast is vital because it jumpstarts your metabolism, providing the energy and nutrients your body needs after an overnight fast. It improves focus, memory, and mood, setting you up for a productive day. Breakfast also helps stabilize blood sugar levels and reduces unhealthy cravings later. Skipping it can lead to fatigue and poor concentration, making it harder to be focused and perform at your best.

Water!
Drinking water in the morning is essential to rehydrate your body after hours without fluids. It boosts metabolism, aids digestion, and kickstarts energy production. Morning hydration supports brain function, improving focus and mental clarity. It also helps flush out toxins, promoting a healthier body. A simple glass of water upon waking sets a strong foundation for a vibrant and productive day. And if nothing else, at least let your dry lips motivate you to drink a large glass of water in the morning. Lipstick looks soo bad on dry lips.
Skin Care Routine
A morning facial routine is an essential part of getting ready for a good morning. Not only does it nourish your skin, but it also refreshes you and, if you’re wearing make-up, gives you a hydrated base for it.
- Cleanse: Use a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and any overnight residue.
- Tone (Optional): Apply a toner to balance your skin’s pH and prepare it for the next steps.
- Moisturize: Use a lightweight moisturizer to hydrate and lock in moisture.
- Apply Sunscreen: Protect your skin from harmful UV rays with a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+).
This is a very basic routine, add your own steps and do it every morningkeeps your skin fresh, hydrated, and protected all day!

10-minute quick clean-up!
I believe it seems impossible, but believe me, it’s not. If you manage to wake up on time, you’ll have plenty of 10 minutes to get your home in the condition you want it to be when you get home. It’s not all about having everything spotlessly clean to the forefront. The point is to do what you can in ten minutes, and you’ll see how much you can fit into that time. Wash the dishes, wipe down the sink in the bathroom, put the shoes back, organise your letters, and take out the trash. These don’t take much time, but when you come home in the evening, you’ll thank yourself.

Avoid Your Social Media
Make getting ready in the morning all about you. Leave checking your phone for later. There are many benefits to getting ready offline. You’re not distracted, you can get through your tasks faster, and you can think through your day in complete peace. It won’t be easy if your routine is to pick it up as soon as you wake up. You might want to try checking your phone on the way to work or school, or even later. Silence is very important, you need to be able to live it well and be in tune with your thoughts.

Visualize Your Day
I mentioned this tip in the previous point. An important part of the morning is to think about what your day will consist of. A diary can help a lot with this, where you can write down things to do, appointments to make, and any other tasks. If you’re not sure you’ve got everything right, check your list over your morning coffee and prioritize, so you can start the day feeling more relaxed.

Our lives are not about always spending our time as productively as possible. If your morning doesn’t go smoothly, don’t feel bad. We’re human, we have bad days and the world doesn’t fall apart if you don’t wash your coffee mug or make your bed. Allow yourself to operate at a lower energy level. These tips are suggestions, take them on board, and adapt them to your own needs. Most importantly, don’t be hard on yourself, try to establish a morning routine, but if you stumble at first, don’t be discouraged. In time you’ll get there, and almost all your mornings will start easily and smoothly.
